I’m a senior at Lewis University majoring in computer science with a minor in social media. I am a student intern with Fitness 4 Change, working on the website and managing the Facebook page. I am from Racine, WI where I developed a love for cheese and music! In high school, I was very interested in web design and technology which led me to further pursue it in college. I enjoy performing whether it be singing, acting, or just making people laugh!
I am a Human Resources Consultant for Fitness 4 Change, and have worked with them since 2009. I graduated from Lewis University with a Master in Arts in Counseling Psychology. I have conducted training seminars on safety. leadership abilities, performance appraisals and diversity. I also mentor for several children in the after school program at my church.
Ashley is a dance teacher and sports teacher at F4C. She enjoys interacting and working with the children to help them learn. Ashley’s future goals include attending Lewis University for 4 years and then going off to med school to be come a doctor.
Barb- Administrative Assistant
My name is Barb and I work as an Administrative Assistant for Fitness 4 Change. I started doing volunteer work which lead into a position with them back in April of 2013. I love what this organization is all about. I have three daughters in their dance program who absolutely enjoy going each week. My background is in Administrative work so I am happy to be able to contribute to such a wonderful organization. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, organizing, designing, planning and trying to keep exercise a part of each day.
I teach dance, mathletes, and sports with Fitness 4 Change. When I am not teaching, I spend time rehearsing with two dance companies and coaching the dance team at Lisle high school. Working with children of all ages is a rewarding experience, and I enjoy creating new games for different ages and learning styles.
My name is Danna and I am a Fitness 4 Change instructor. I also coach soccer, basketball, dance, theater, and more recently, Pre-K and Kindergarten math/dance classes. I have my certification in coaching. I also have over twenty years of experience coaching sports to kids and teaching athletic basics, including for my own three for the past 19 years.
The thing I admire most about working for Fitness 4 Change, as a parent, is the true nature of caring to the children by the administration and their instructors. As a coach, I truly appreciate the strong support system from the administration while giving their fullest confidence in the instructors as well.
Erin - Instructor
I am attending Lewis University and planning on graduating in the spring with a bachelors in Sociology. I plan on furthering my education in Clinical Mental Health Psychology. I have been dancing since I was 5 years old and continue to do so. I am currently a Poms and Cheerleading coach for Fitness for Change. I enjoy dancing with the students as well as teaching them skills that they would use in the future. I love to see how much the children have grown not only with their dancing, but with the huge smiles that are on their faces the whole class. I enjoy knowing that after school these kids are open and ready to learn and have fun. I would like to think that these children look up to me not only as a coach but also as a role model. I always look forward to learning and building relationships with these children through Fitness4Change.
I have been a coach and instructor at Fitness 4 Change for three and a half years, and I have loved every second of it. Basketball has always been a passion of mine, and being able to teach it to kids is something I do not take for granted. I am studying psychology and sociology at Lewis University, and my career goal is to become a child and adolescent counselor. My experience in working with the kids I have coached at Fitness 4 Change has only confirmed my dream of counseling and working with children professionally.
