Meet Our Team
Julie Zipperich- Executive Director/ Volunteer
Throughout her childhood, Julie was encouraged to develop her love for dancing. She participated in community dance classes, professional dance studios, as well as dancing and poms in college. She graduated from Concordia University in River Forest, IL with a double major in Art and Psychology. Julie then worked for several years as a mentor and independent living counselor with behaviorally challenged children in a group home setting. Later, she began working as a Corporate Placement Director while completing her Master’s of Science Degree from Louis-University. Julie then decided to postpone her career to support her husband’s career, and raise their five children. In March of 2010, Julie started Fitness 4 Change programming. Her goal is to support her family’s interests in sports and dance as well as provide affordable fitness programming to other children.
Paul Zipperich- Director of Operations/ Volunteer
At a young age, Paul took an interest in both music and sports. He was given many opportunities to improve and develop his soccer skills and even trained with professional soccer trainers during high school. As a young adult, he began working with the developmentally disabled community in residential and vocational settings. He moved on to work as a nursing assistant in residential and skilled care facilities and a Patient Care Technician in a hospital while pursuing his paramedic license. In many ways, all these experiences helped him prepare for his career as a professional firefighter-paramedic. Paul achieved a Bachelors of Arts in Management degree from Benedictine University in 2010. Utilizing his education and experience, Paul wishes to complement Julie’s extraordinary efforts with Fitness 4 Change.
